It is absolutely essential to use 3 points of contact when entering or exiting the
cab. Using 3 points of contact reduces the risk of injury to drivers and helpers.

It is absolutely essential to use 3 points of contact when entering or exiting the cab. Using 3 points of contact reduces the risk of injury to drivers and helpers. Some useful reminders:

1. Always use the step or steps to get into or out of the cab.
2. Always use the grab handles, using your left and right hands to pull yourself into or out of the cab.
3. Never use the steering wheel as a grab handle. It will cause unnecessary

wear and tear on the steering column and may turn as you start to enter or exit the cab and may cause a wrist injury. 4. When exiting the cab always be aware of your footing to avoid stepping into a hole or slipping on wet leaves or pavement.
